This month has been a whirlwind and it's hard to believe April is over. I always love this month...usually it means Spring is here (obviously not the case this year) and it's my birthday month! I was thoroughly spoiled by my fiancé, family and friends! (Birthday post
here)
I was asked to Emcee a conference in Saskatoon -- it was the first time I ever did something like that and there were over 250 people. It was a fantastic opportunity to hone my speaking skills but also got to meet some fantastic people... Margaret Trudeau being one of them!
Most of the month was great. Other parts, weren't so great. I was given a lay off notice from my current job BUT I've already started another position that still involves entrepreneurship. When one door closes, another one opens. I'm not a fan of cliches but sometimes they really do fit a situation. I've met a lot of people with the job I currently have and it's nice that someone else in our circle, is there to lend a helping hand.
I also found out I've been accepted to be a vendor at the Saskatoon Fashion and Design Festival in June! This is something that is both scary and very exciting for me. I will get to showcase my jewelry for the people of Saskatoon... SO if you're in the area on June 2nd, come on down to the River Landing and check out local artists and designers (I'll post more info soon).
Anyway, I hope you enjoy some of the pictures from this month. These were some of the little things that got me through our winter-like Spring.
What's helping you get through this silly weather?
